Monday, June 15th, 2009Redesigning Styleonyoursubstance.com – Part 3: More Rough Logo Sketches
Wednesday, June 10th, 2009I think I’ve gone too far past what I actually want in a logo; I don’t really like any of these at all. My favorite is still the coloured logo in this post. That’s the most likely candidate at this point.
Redesigning Styleonyoursubstance.com – Part 2: Less-Rough Logo Sketches
Monday, June 1st, 2009Here’s two more pages of logo sketches. They’re still very unfinished :
I’ll mention now that I know my handwriting is absolutely awful.
Having the letters in Substance seperated is really very cool, It’s nice to be able to experiment with layout like this. I’ve been poring over hundreds of millions of images, looking for some inspiration in the logo. I’m enjoying how these are looking, but they’re still unpolished and the finished logo will probably be very different to these. I’ll most likely do a page or two more like this before starting to refine it at all. Colours are beginning to emerge, too.
Redesigning Styleonyoursubstance.com – Part 1: Rough Logo Sketches
Thursday, May 28th, 2009I’ve been tempted, for a while now, to add a logo to my business. It seems like a glaring omission now. The problems is coming up with something that doesn’t look awful next to the current ID I have.
So, I’m likely to replace everything. This is about the sixth total design refresh this site has been through. One day I’ll dig them all up and show the world.
I’m still really happy with how the page looks, but It still doesn’t scream “finished” – at least not to me.
