These two lenses are two of the most popular and useful lenses for low-light shooters. There’s also a lot of people out there, with a big question: which is better & which is worth it?
A better way to phrase it is: Is the 1.4g worth the huge price difference? Are the extra fractions of one stop worth the hundreds of dollars? In a word, no, they’re not. The other improvements of this lens, are. That’s not to criticize the 1.8g – it’s a completely fantastic lens and totally worth it. Let’s get started on some information :

New theme for a a community blog, pretty exciting stuff. It’ll be completed & moved onto the final domain very soon. There’s a few minor things to be tweaked. It’s going well. It’s using a Framework theme, WP-Framework, which is just a pleasure to work with.
I’m also working on another site that is in the planning stages. Hopefully I’ll have something to show off any day now.
It’s pretty obvious, but I’ve put the redesign for this site way on the back-burner.

Got a nikon d90 the other week, still getting used to it compared to the D40. I like the dials a lot more, which makes a pretty big difference. I also like the bigger screen. I particularly like the way it handles low-light situations. This was taken under one or two CFL bulbs, which are terrible.
I’ll also mention my Flickr and the photos of sydney’s dust storms, before I forget to blog for another couple of months.

Another layout. Possibly too busy, but that style navigation is really memorable. I like the speech bubbles for the frontpage options. Everything seems nicely readable, too.

I’ll be making a series of these as I get closer to the actual future site. The next one I may go into a little more detail, this is really more about finding the right colours and shapes.

Two candidates for a logo; I like the green, but the second option’s fonts are way too much. I think the first is the better option, so far. Right now that green is far too saturated for how I want the finished product to look.

I think I’ve gone too far past what I actually want in a logo; I don’t really like any of these at all. My favorite is still the coloured logo in this post. That’s the most likely candidate at this point.
